Summary: We spent a perfect, relaxed family holiday at Frank & Britta's beautiful Garden House. The house is spacious, comfortable and genrously equipped with all you need. You can listen to bird song, admire butterflies and look out for frogs and the occasional shy red squirrel, from the garden terrace. The house's location 'zwischen zwei Meeren/between two seas' (both the Baltic and North) is ideal for exploring the area's varied landscape of rivers, lakes, coastal bays, fjords (firths) and beaches -- the Schlei waterway winding out from Schleswig is very pretty and a significant UNESCO Viking heritage site. There are lots of options for cycling, walking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, etc., in the area, with shopping and restaurant amenities, a fishing harbour and a sandy beach at the nearby resort of Eckernförde. Flensburg and Denmark are within easy reach by car or rail from Owschlag's station. The local fish fair (Fischbrötchen) and beer are also excellent. What more could you wish for!
