“Casa Iume”, beautiful two-storey rural home stretching over a 200 square-metre area, is immersed in a lavishly green landscape of pine trees and olive groves: the ideal country retreat for families and friends willing to enjoy the most pleasant stay by the Adriatic sea.
“Casa Iume”, early 20th century traditional country house in the Marche region, is surrounded by hills, farmed fields and olive groves. Ideally located in a quiet and isolated rural area, the house is at short distance from Riviera delle Palme best beaches, art heritage cities like Ascoli Piceno and Fermo, and Piceno’s finest wineries, not to mention great trekking routes and mountain locations on the Sibillini mountains.
The house is accessed from the main road along a rural dirt road for about 1km.
The ground-floor main entrance leads to a generous-sized living room with cozy fireplace, lounge corners equipped with several sofas and armchairs (w/ TV and Wi-Fi connection), and dining area; the kitchen – featuring gas stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher – is located at the same level, along with the adjoining storage room (w/ washing machine) and bathroom (w/ all amenities and bathtub). A cantilevered wooden staircase leads up to the upper level, where the night-area unfolds into 4 lovely bedrooms (2 double rooms + 2 twin rooms) with wood-beamed ceilings, one bathroom (w/ all amenities and shower), and wardrobe/storage room. Two bedrooms open onto a large panoramic terrace equipped with outdoor deck chairs.
MOSQUITO NETS IN THE WHOLE SLEEPING AREA
The house boasts an approx. 4,000 square-metre private garden, with lawns, fruit trees, rosemary, cedars and many typical Mediterranean plants. A huge pine tree protects the outdoor relax/dining area from the summerish scorching sun.
A sequence of large French windows connects the ground-floor living with the outdoor wooden porch equipped with custom-made dining table and benches ideal for enjoying en plein air meals in warm summer nights. A concrete lodge with 2 BBQ’s and wood-burning oven stands at the rear of the house, and is available to guests for outdoor barbecues right under the stars and a beautiful holm oak.
“Casa Iume” is located in the province of Ascoli Piceno, one of the highlights of the southern Marche, at barely 9km’s from Grottammare toll booth and a ten minutes ride from its sunny sandy beaches.

Summary: This " holiday" home has everything you need with a family or group of friends. We stayed here with 5 though the location offers enough room for 8. Everything is in the home available from cutlery, dishes and pans, great BBQ, wifi, good shower and plenty of room. If I would need to state less positive things than it would be 2 points, the road to the house is steep. Though every descent car is able to get up the hill., sportscar will be challenging, though normal family cars, etc., are fine. You do not need a 4x4 as stated in other reviews. Second point, the zanzare (Asian Tiger musquito) which are in abundance at this rural located house, though even on the beach you are chased by these musquittos. Sitting outside without protection like clothing or products such as DEET, citronella candles, and or a wood fire with smoke, which can be made, makes it a challenge. If you cannot handle these musquitos, go to a hotel in a city (thus not like the rural area this house is located) with airco and stay inside after 18 o' clock. Besides these 2 topics as remarks, this is a marvelous place to stay.
