In Lindau, a 9-minute drive or 4.5 km away, you will find supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies and all sorts of shops. A bakery, however, can already be reached after a 6-minute drive or 3.2 km to the neighbouring village of Schlachters. Lindau is famous for its old town centre, which is located on an island in Lake Constance, and invites you to walk about the narrow streets with centuries-old architecture and lovely cafés. The nearest beach, Strandbad Eichwald, is a 13-minute drive (6.2 km) from the apartment, on the mainland part of Lindau. There you can take refreshing swims, surrounded by a wonderful lake and mountain panorama. The Lake Constance region offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and cycling, and in winter, you can also go skiing only a 13-minute drive (10.5 km) away near Bregenz, a charming lakeside town across the Austrian border and famous for its many cultural offerings.
