Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property manager, Massimo, and his assistant, Claudia, provided outstanding service and they made themselves readily available to my wife and I during our stay. We appreciated that the property is located a short walking distance to Tiburtina Train Station, bus stops and taxi stations. In addition, bars (coffee shops), markets, restaurants and local Catholic churches are also just a stroll away from Sky Tower. As I experience ambulation problems, my wife felt safe enough to walk on her own to the neighborhood markets and shops. While we both felt safe and comfortable in the neighborhood, the property's security gates for the detached unit we stayed in allowed for an intimate private setting. The unit we were provided was perfectly suited for my physical limitations. Lastly, our limited ability to speak Italian was not a communication impediment.

Negative: Although there was a washing machine in the unit, which made laundering our clothes very convenient, there was not a drying machine. A combination washer and dryer machine would have been most appreciated especially since the airline, headquartered in London, lost our luggage for six days. As it rained intermittently for a few days, it was difficult to dry our limited supply of clothing. During the sunnier days, however, the drying rack that was supplied as part of the unit did a sufficient job in drying our garments.

Summary: We had the wonderful experience of Italian life, yet, felt as if we were "home."
