Where the locomotives used to steam, the "Ruwer-Hochwald-Radweg" was built a few years ago on the disused railway line. The path leads in gentle inclines on a bike path away from traffic in the best asphalt condition through the romantic Ruwertal. You can easily ride your bike or your inline skates - in the middle of the beautiful forest and meadow landscape - in one direction to Trier or in the other to Hermeskeil (total length: 48 km). Numerous refreshments will tempt you to take a breather with their delicacies. Bike rental possible (13 km). If, in addition to rest and relaxation, you also feel the need for hustle and bustle and city, trips to Trier or Luxembourg are very worthwhile destinations.
