Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The area is quite, but also means that apart from a Pizzeria no restaurants are around. However, if you’re craving for a good night sleep, this works well. The apartment has most of the equipment you need to cook or be self sufficient.

Negative: I personally enjoy to have personal chats with my hosts and was a little disappointed that the hosts didn’t even take the time for a little chat at my arrival but just send me away again to park my motorbike somewhere else, since I apparently blocked their space. I am a host myself, and personally would have arranged a different welcome. They obviously had to leave but I assume teo minutes to let me get off my bike wouldn’t have harmed. The place itself is a little dark since many of the lights don’t work. This includes the floor light in the living room, the bulbs in the living area apart from one, the mirror light in the bathroom and the external light infront of the house. The little terrace is used for the garbage bins of the host and is not really inviting to spend time outside. I also feel it doesn’t really communicate appreciation for the client. I do admit that I also found it rather pricey for what it was but this is a very subjective opinion obviously. I am also not a big fan of all the signs in the place telling me what to do and what not. A quick intro from the host could have done the same job and would have made me feel far more welcome. Overall, I would have liked to feel more like being hosted by someone who wants me there, rather than someone who obviously had the space available and now makes use of it for an extra income. There is nothing wrong with it in general, and it’s understandable, but as a traveler I would have loved that.
